Buttercups & Daisies

It is our aim to provide a happy, homely, warm and caring environment in Buttercups and Daisies rooms, where the children are introduced to early Montessori equipment providing rich opportunities and activities preparing them for the pre-school class, Stepping Stones.
In Buttercups and Daisies we introduce your child to the early Montessori practical life, sensorial, language and numeracy activities, 
teaching them in a homely, happy atmosphere in preparation for Stepping Stones.
We work with a ratio of one teacher for a maximum of four children which allows the children to have a gentle and kind introduction to the Montessori Method of Teaching.
We have created two bright and stimulating rooms filled with early Montessori exercises alongside conventional play equipment that is designed for this age group, creating a learning environment where the children are free to learn and discover through play.
The children are cared for by 
highly qualified members of staff, who all have years of experience with small children

Buttercups and Daisies also have their own play area, tailored to their learning needs where they can play confidently until they are ready to play in the large play area.
The Sessions
The sessions are filled with lots of hands-on activities, where the children and encouraged to take part and have a go.
Each child has a key worker who follows their individual progress and teaches the children using the Montessori method of one-to-one.
During the sessions, we introduce the children individually to early Practical life activities, sensorial material, Language and maths, alongside role play and art activities. We have story time, group time and singing with the children every day. Our aim is to build their co-ordination, concentration and confidence preparing them for the pre-school class, Stepping Stones.
Buttercups & Daisies Montessori
Nappies & Toilet Training
We have full nappy changing facilities and we will encourage your child and work with you when your child is ready for potty training.
We provide all nappies, potties, wipes and creams for Buttercups children.
Snack and Meals
The Children have access to water all day.
We have morning snack time when the children have a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables and bread items such as bread sticks, crackers, pittas and naan bread.
The children are offered either milk or water with their snack.
Lunch is served in their room and is a social occasion where the children are taught independence and table manners.
We serve a high tea at around 4:30pm.
