Practical Life Materials
These are the everyday activities which remind you of the things you do at home or watch a grown-up doing
The Practical Life Activities are split into two areas, care of self and care of the environment. These are purposeful activities that develop motor control and coordination, developing independence, concentration and a sense of responsibility. For example, you can sweep the floor, learn how to do up a zip and fasten buttons, put on your own coat, learn how to pour your own drink and lay the table, teaching you good hand/eye co-ordination and independence.

These and many other activities will help you to be independent and develop your concentration - as well as learn a lot about the world around you.
