  Mrs Garland is a qualified Montessori Teacher. She completed her Montessori Teaching Diploma at St Nicholas Montessori College, London in 1989.

  She then set up The Rugby Montessori Nursery School in January 1991 in a church hall in Rugby. The nursery then moved to a much larger rented premises in Dunchurch from 1993 until 2022.

  In January 2021, we opened our Nursery School in Vicarage Road, Rugby. The Rugby Montessori Nursery School, Vicarage Road is a smaller setting in a lovely 1930's house which has allowed us to recreate Maria Montessori's "Casa dei Bambini" or "Children's House" a place where the children can feel at home in a house that has been created just for them. Mrs Garland was thrilled to open a sister school to Vicarage Road in Dunchurch, Cawston Lane and she was delighted to be bringing the amazing Montessori method of teaching back to Dunchurch.

  Mrs Garland has spent the last 33 years building The Rugby Montessori Nursery School and our fantastic, knowledgeable, highly qualified teaching team. She feels passionately about providing an outstanding Montessori education for the children in our care. Mrs Garland believes firmly in the Montessori principles and that the child is the most important part of our future. It is her aim to provide a caring environment for our children to thrive in.

  Nursery Manager - Qualified Teaching Status
  Miss Millie

  Miss Millie gained her teaching qualification whilst living in London, where she then taught for 3 years at a Primary School in Hackney. Here she also gained experience in supporting SEND and Early Help.

  She has grown up learning about the Montessori method, even attending The Rugby Montessori Nursery School herself in 1999. Miss Millie is passionate about children learning in a calm and exciting environment, ensuring all of the children in our care feel seen and valued during their time with the Nursery. Miss Millie understands the importance of high quality resources and provision to help support our little ones learning experiences.

  Miss Millie worked in Stepping Stones Room at Vicarage Road for almost 2 years, supporting Miss Lauren to ensure that the children were school and life ready. Miss Millie loves being outdoors and will be co-leading our Forest School, where our little ones will get to learn some more about the great outdoors and gain some firsthand experiences.

  Miss Millie loves 'Worldy Wednesday' where she gets to teach our little ones about the World around them through storytelling, exploring non-fiction books and showing exciting images of animals and landmarks.

  Miss Gabrielle has worked for The Rugby Montessori Nursery School Ltd since 1999 and has supported Mrs Garland throughout the various ventures that the setting has undertaken and Gabrielle loves spending time in her garden or being with her granddaughter.

  Miss Donna has recently joined the team as our Office Administrator. Miss Donna has had years of experience as a school Secretary, working for several schools in Warwickshire. She has had many administration roles within her career and a wealth of knowledge regarding children's welfare, safeguarding, HR and staff wellbeing.
